Picture this: Susan, a 5-year member of SMPS Arizona is working late into the night on an RFP due tomorrow morning. She has lost the last three she’s proposed on and has to land this one. To put the final touches on this RFP, she calls a fellow SMPS member to bounce her thoughts off of, submits on time, and wins the project! Ryan, a proposal manager with one year of experience is submitting for the same RFP, when he hits a dead end, with nowhere to look for help. We’ve all been there – we are up against a deadline and looking for help with the one thing that we can’t find the answer to. What if we all had the resources that Susan turned to at the last minute? That is the power of SMPS! As a one-man marketing and BD team with only two years of experience, SMPS has been a tremendous resource for me. When I don’t know what to do, or simply need feedback on my recent InDesign artwork, I am able to tap into a group of experienced professionals across the country who have sat in my chair many times in the past.
